Thank you for your interest in joining the Canterbury Woods Swim Club (CWSC).  CWSC is a bonded membership club.

We know joining a community pool can be a big commitment and investment, so we also offer a one-year trial membership for non-bond holders.

CWSC Bonds

Purchasing a bond is the first step towards membership at CWSC.  Bondholding members are part-owners of the pool facilities, are entitled to vote during membership business meetings, and can serve on the CWSC Pool Board.

Purchasing a bond does not, however, entitle you to access to the pool until you have paid your annual membership dues.  If a bond holder does not remain current on their dues (either Active or Inactive dues) for a period of 3 years (or more), they forfeit their bond.

There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $300.00 to purchase a membership bond.  Your membership bond can be transferred or sold privately, with advance notice provided to our Membership Director and a transfer fee of $100.  If you are seeking to purchase a bond, we have linked the purchase of a bond with the purchase of your initial annual membership dues for your added convenience.

Memberships Offered

First-Year Trial Membership 

CWSC offers a first-year trial membership for non-bond families!  This limited membership is intended for families who are new to the area and wish to try out the pool for one season.  At CWSC, families seeking to be a part of the community, for a second season, will need to purchase a bond and become fully vested members of the club.

First-Year Trial Membership – Water Aerobics Only

This limited membership is intended for non-bonded families who wish to try our water aerobics class for one pool season. It does not include full membership privileges, such as pool access during operating hours or tennis court use.  If you wish to continue for a second season, first-year trial members shall purchase a bond and become fully vested members of the club.

Active-Duty Military Annual Membership

This level of membership is intended for active-duty military families on limited tours of duty in the area (1-4 years).  If your job requires you to transfer your duty station on a regular basis, we will not require you to purchase a bond to maintain your pool membership during your limited stay in the area.  All active-duty military families on limited tours of duty in the area are eligible for this annual membership for a maximum of 4 years.  

Active Bonded Annual Membership

Active bonded members are part-owners of the pool facilities, entitled to vote during membership business meetings, and can serve on the CWSC Pool Board.  It includes full membership privileges including 10 guest passes with the ability to purchase additional guest passes.

Senior Bonded Annual Membership

This membership is intended for bondholders who are 65+ years old.  It includes full membership privileges including 10 guest passes with the ability to purchase additional guest passes.

Inactive Bonded Annual Membership

If you hold an existing membership bond with CWSC and do not plan to use the pool facilities during the upcoming season, you may request an inactive status, and pay the inactive bonded annual membership dues.  This allows you to remain in good standing and to be eligible for active pool membership in subsequent years.
