General Membership Meeting and By-Laws Update

CWSC Members,

Our annual General Membership Meeting will be on Tuesday, September 26th from 7:30-8:30 pm in the Pool Pavilion. We hope to see many of you there. At the meeting, we will discuss pool business, do a wrap-up of the season, and hold two important votes of the membership.

The first vote is to select 3 Board Members. We are lucky to have 5 pool members volunteer to run for the 3 positions. We’ll give each candidate a couple minutes to introduce themselves prior to the voting. The candidates are listed below in alphabetical order:

Mitch Bruce

John Gethins

Dottie Lydon

Michelle Simmons

We will also vote on updates to the pool by-laws. A copy of the redline draft which shows the changes is attached below for you to review prior to the meeting.

Again, we look forward to seeing many of you next week.

Members are highly encouraged to attend in person. If you cannot attend in person but would like to send your proxy vote for the two matters being voted on at this meeting, please provide your proxy in accordance with the By-Laws, which state:

“To exercise a proxy, the proponent shall produce a written, signed proxy statement from a bond holder, designating the proponent who must be at least 18 years of age. The written statement must include: an expiration date or designate the event for which the proxy is valid, the bond holder’s name, the bond holder’s address and either a statement indicating the bond holder’s vote on the election and/or matter to be voted upon, or a statement that the proxy holder may vote on the election and/or matter to be voted upon in his or her sole discretion.

An individual may carry no more than three (3) proxies.”

A sample proxy form is attached for your convenience and can also be found on the pool website; however, all proxies that meet the above requirements will be accepted.
